Can I trade in my old massage chair?

Yes. When you buy a new massage chair in person at one of our four California showrooms, our massage chair trade in program lets you put your old chair toward it, with up to $2,000 in credit. Brand and age determine the credit, and the maximum does not apply to every chair. We accept chairs of any brand or age, working or not, and we collect the old chair when we deliver the new one.

How does the massage chair trade-in program work?

  1. Photograph your chair and its label. The label lists the brand, model and serial number or manufacture date.
  2. Bring the photos to a showroom. We give you a written estimate based on brand and age, valid for 14 days.
  3. Buy your new chair at the showroom. The trade-in credit appears on your sales receipt.
  4. We collect the old chair at delivery. The team picks it up from the same address and checks its brand, model and age.

If the brand, model or age differs from the details you gave, we tell you the revised credit before collection. You can accept it and pay the difference, or keep your old chair and repay the full credit. Any amount owed is charged to the payment method used for the purchase.

Which chairs qualify to trade in?

  • Any brand, any age: including brands we don't sell and chairs that no longer work.
  • Owned outright: leased or rented chairs, financed chairs with a balance still owed, and chairs under a lien don't qualify.

The new chair must be bought in person at our Santa Clara, Pleasanton, Daly City or Roseville showroom and delivered to a California address. Online orders don't qualify, so to trade in a massage chair, start at a showroom.

How much trade-in credit can I get?

Up to $2,000, set by the chair's brand and age, which we read from the label in your photos. The maximum does not apply to every chair, so plan with the figure on your written estimate. We confirm the final credit when we inspect the chair at collection.

Did you buy your current chair from us?

Check our Upgrade Program first, in section 21 of our Terms of Service. It may give you more credit than a trade-in: 80% of the eligible original purchase amount in the first 12 months (capped at 50% of the new chair's regular price), then 60%, 40% and 20% in years two to four. Upgrade credit and trade-in credit can't be combined.

How do I get my old chair ready for collection?

  • Keep it at the address where the new chair will be delivered.
  • Empty it, unplug it and remove all personal belongings. We are not responsible for anything left in or on the chair.
  • Make sure the team can reach it, whether it sits in a living room, bedroom or upstairs office, along the same route used for the new chair.

We may refuse collection if the chair has bed bugs or other pests, mold or contamination, or can't be moved safely. In that case the credit is removed and the full credited amount is owed. Ownership passes to us at collection, and we may resell, donate, recycle or dispose of the chair. The program terms list no separate charge for collecting it; our shipping policy explains delivery.

How can I use trade-in credit?

  • On one new massage chair at regular price, in the same transaction. One trade-in per replacement chair.
  • Not on sale or promotional prices, clearance items or floor models.
  • A trade-in purchase can't use Affirm financing and is excluded from 6-Month Price Protection.
  • Not combinable with upgrade credit, the 5% Service Discount or discount codes.
  • No cash value: it can't be redeemed for cash, transferred, sold or saved for a later purchase.

The credit lowers the amount you pay. Sales tax is calculated as California law requires, generally on the price before the credit is subtracted.

Can I trade in a massage chair from a brand you don't sell?

Yes. We accept any brand, working or not, as long as you own the chair outright and it can be collected safely.

What happens if I return the new chair?

Your refund is based on the amount you actually paid, under our Returns, Swaps & Cancellations Policy. For a voluntary return, trade-in credit is not refunded as cash or store credit, and the old chair can't ordinarily be returned.

Can the program change?

We may revise or end the program. A change doesn't affect a trade-in already recorded on your sales receipt.
