What is the difference between a 3D and 4D massage chair?
A 3D massage chair moves its rollers up, down and side to side, and adds depth, so the rollers press in more or less firmly. A 4D massage chair does all of that and also changes the speed and rhythm of the rollers during a program, so the massage slows down and speeds up over time. The label alone does not tell you how a chair feels, so test it in person.

- Roller feel: smooth and controlled at low and high intensity.
- Body scan: the chair should find your shoulder line. Ask how to adjust it by hand.
- Track: L-tracks and SL-tracks reach under the seat. Check where the rollers stop.
- Air cells and heat: placement and intensity control matter more than the count.
- Room fit: measure the space behind the chair when it reclines, and the path to your room.
